Scholastic Posts Strong Earnings, Joins Ouster, Torrid Holdings, Adaptive Biotechnologies And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Friday

U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index falling around 400 points on Friday.

Shares of Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ:SCHL) rose sharply during Friday's session following upbeat quarterly earnings.

Scholastic reported quarterly losses of 5 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of a loss of 78 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $335.400 million which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $347.680 million.

Scholastic shares jumped 12.2% to $21.09 on Friday.

  • Regencell Bioscience Holdings Limited (NASDAQ:RGC) shares jumped 30% to $58.51.
  • AleAnna, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANNA) jumped 23.7% to $9.44.
  • Ouster, Inc. (NASDAQ:OUST) gained 20.8% to $10.12 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
  • Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. (NYSE:NAK) shares rose 14% to $0.8021.
  • Torrid Holdings Inc. (NYSE:CURV) jumped 9% to $6.03 following better-than-expected quarterly results.
  • agilon health, inc. (NYSE:AGL) rose 8.2% to $4.4351. Needham analyst Ryan MacDonald reiterated Agilon Health with a Hold rating.
  • Cytokinetics, Incorporated (NASDAQ:CYTK) gained 5.5% to $45.47.
  • Adaptive Biotechnologies Corporation (NASDAQ:ADPT) gained 7.5% to $8.33. Goldman Sachs analyst Salveen Richter upgraded Adaptive Biotechnologies from Neutral to Buy and raised the price target from $8 to $9.
  • Precigen, Inc. (NASDAQ:PGEN) shares rose 7% to $1.9250.
